About 2 years ago me(Steve Mullins) and Reg Armistead were discussing the lack of competive rifle matches for civilians at such a beautiful range as R4 at Quantico.Quantico Shooting Club wasn't interested in sponsoring any civilian matches so we approached Willie Williamson who was running the Va 1000 benchrest matches on R4.He had no problem sponsoring any type match we wanted to come up with.So with his blessings we got to work.

With some discussion I wrote up some simple(KISS) match rules and posted them on Snipers Hide.They had a poll feature(I'm working on getting one for here also)so in the poll we agreed on the match rules.Shortly after we started having the "modified"F-Class matches that we're shooting today.

We've had very little complaining to date and we intend to keep it that way.Just a bunch of good ole boys getting together to have a good time shooting and just keep score to see how we do from match to match.

We may in the future have some different style matches so stay tuned.
