Welcome to the Long Range Shooters of Va site.We'll try to keep everybody informed about the goings on at Quantico.Especially R4, the premier 1000 yd range in this area.We have a fine following with our "modified"F-class,palma style matches there.
Willie Willamson is the president of VA 1000 Benchrest Club which has all there matches on R4.Va 1000 is also the host club for our "modified" matches as well as the Fifty Caliber Shooters Assotiation matches held here.In 2009 VA 1000 along with VFEMI (Jim Morgan is the man in charge of VFEMI))will be the host clubs for all the Marine Corps matches held at Quantico.
We're also very involved with th M-1's for vets program run by JJ Oshea from N.C.We have presentations and rec-fire days for the wounded vets on an ongoing basis.We're proud to host them whenever we can get some of the guys together for a fun day at the range.
